Evidence continues to mount proving that fruits and vegetables are vital to our well-being. The newest research from Cambridge University has found that in both children and elders intake of these foods improved the mineral content in their bones.

The study involved children aged 16-18 and women aged 60-83. Researchers at found that both groups displayed an increase in bone mineral concentrations in the spine when they boosted their intake of vegetables and fruits. They also noted that in the group of elder women, doubling their fruit intake resulted in a 5% increase in spinal bone density.
